Merinowool is a remarkable material known for its excellent properties. Not only is it highly insulating, but it also has excellent moisture-wicking capabilities, efficiently drawing sweat away from the body. Even when damp, it keeps Merinowool its insulating properties thanks to the unique structure of the fibers. In fact, it can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before feeling moist, making it ideal for a variety of weather conditions and activities.
To ensure the highest quality, the Merinowool we use is treated with a superwash treatment, making it resistant to frequent machine washing without compromising quality. This treatment ensures that the garment retains its softness and shape, even after several washes.
Given the absorbent properties of Merinowool and the superwash treatment, we recommend washing the garment separately using the wool wash program on your washing machine. To ensure a gentle treatment, it is important to spin the garment well before laying it flat to dry, preferably on a towel. Do not use a laundry bag when washing hand-knitted woolen garments, as this can cause friction and lead to felting.
